No-code - what is it and whom is it suitable for?

Standard product development consists of 4 parts:

The 1st part is a market assessment, a calculation of unit economics or in other words, a forecast of how much we plan to earn.

The 2nd part is CastDev - getting feedback from the target audience, possibly optimizing already at this stage.

The 3rd part is testing and prototyping the product.

The 4th step is MVP development and sales hypothesis testing and at this stage we need help from No-code or Low-code, nowadays these terms are used synonymously, though the meaning of the terms is slightly different.

Of course for startups at the stage of MVP building if their value proposition doesn't correlate with the technical component of the product, i.e. if you can close their value proposition or customer pain without a serious technical component, then in general using No-code is a good and even great solution to launch the product and sales faster. If we are talking about large companies, if there is such a need and if it does not contradict the principles of the company, then we are for it with both hands! This makes it cheaper and faster to bring a product to market and a lot less people can be involved in the process of creating the product, which in our opinion is great. You can test product performance, sales hypotheses much faster, and quickly adapt the product to changes with minimal cost.

No-code limitations

If your service is used by more than 200,000 - 500,000 people, the power may not hold - then it's time to deploy a full-fledged development. But for such products No-code is not used - this is a sprint toolkit for quick tests or lightweight products, this is its value.

Potential for growth and scale

For small amounts of users and simple models like marketplace or link to CRM a No-code product can live a long and happy life, but as soon as you take the bar higher - plan to scale sales or want to connect the artificial intelligence, that's it - time to move to a full-fledged coder product. Practice CJM, test product and sales hypotheses, measure product/market fit, that's where No-code will be your biggest help.

Keeping it up and running

Bugs often happen on No-code, bundles need to be maintained and checked for functionality. You'll of course need an assistant on staff or outsourced to keep the whole infrastructure up and running. If the data is no longer parsed, crashed CRM status script or something similar - you need an expert at arm's length because processes can be restored very quickly, as long as you know how. Bug reports are sent automatically in many services, so just keep an eye on them and fix them on time.

Developer search

Here No-code has a big advantage over its competitors. The problem with coder products is often changing developers - not everyone wants to understand other people's code and the documentation is not always maintained properly, making it even harder to change the developer. No-code has it easy - it is block elements, there is no uniqueness and a new employee will understand the development of another expert quite quickly and without problems, if he has the proper expertise in the tools. It is possible to find a developer on the freelance market, there are companies that are engaged in No-code development to order, you can also take a course or send one of your employees to the passage of training on No-code development, now there are many such courses.

Websites, digital architecture and mobile applications - everything becomes simple and straightforward. A cool case study could be getting additional No-code education for serious developers.
